Syntony Consulting

The services offered through Syntony Consulting promote collaboration and participation in the common endeavor of co-creating a sustainable and evolutionary future. The area of consulting for educational institutions and learning organizations is:

SoIL: Systems of Innovative Learning

SoIL is geared to expand the boundaries of education by focusing on self-directed, meaningful, active, and collaborative learning experiences that relate to the challenges of social and environmental sustainability. SoIL involves the design of Evolutionary Learning Communities customized to the needs of the learners and their context. SoIL also incorporates, when appropriate, the latest educational technologies to enhance the quality and depth of the interaction between learners and their learning ecosystem.

Syntony Consulting draws on the expertise of many international and highly qualified individuals and organizations. Please refer to our Partners page to learn more about the diversity and strengths of the allies with whom we work. The specific area of SoIL is based on the research of Kathia C. Laszlo, presented in her forthcoming book, Education and Beyond: An introduction to the Design of Evolutionary Learning Community. For more information please email us at info@syntonyquest.org.

Purposeful Conversations

Conversation as a mode of disciplined and collaborative inquiry is an important methodology for the creation of the future. Our aspirations of a more just, democratic, and ethical society require people to listen and to be listened in order to create shared meaning and together bring about a desired future. This is the spirit of the learning and design conversations of Syntony Quest. These conversations have three interrelated dimensions. First, the dimension of generative dialogue that creates the sense of healthy and authentic community among the participants. Second, the dimension of evolutionary learning, which enables the participants to share a common knowledge base about the what, how, and why of their conversation. And third, the dimension of strategic dialogue that empowers the participants to make choices, take joint decisions, and design the systems in which they learn.

Syntony Quest facilitates Purposeful Conversations in a variety of different contexts, including educational settings. Discover the transformative power of a rich and deep conversation in school and nonschool settings. After all, true dialogue involves thinking and learning — together!
