Program Areas

The question that guides Syntony Quest’s initiatives is:

How can we help to create meaningful and sustainable ways of evolving in partnership with Earth?

We answer this question through three interconnected program areas:

1. Lifelong learning
   
   Lifelong learning goes beyond formal education by integrating learning with daily life. We innovate learning environments that support sustainable economic development and bring meaning to people’s lives. This program area involves activities such as workshops and seminars on systems thinking and its application to social and environmental concerns, individual mentoring that enables individuals to become evolutionary social change agents, and learning resources for self-directed evolutionary learning, such as books, articles, and learning guides.

2. Community development
   
   We facilitate the creation of healthy and authentic communities by providing them with the knowledge and skills to bring their shared vision to life. This program area involves action research at the local community level that gets people involved in collective self-development and catalyzes collaborative change initiatives, on-site and on-line dialogues for on-going inquiry and design on issues relevant to the co-creation of sustainable and evolutionary futures, and networking opportunities for strategic alliance and synergetic collaboration.
   
   

3. Ecosystemic design
   
   Ecosystemic design is a participatory and collaborative process that guides individuals and groups to become evolutionary learning communities so that they can embody ecosystemic principles such as unity in diversity, dynamic harmony, and waste-free cycles of self-renewal. This program area involves activities such as collaborative consulting that provides practical approaches to organizational learning, continuous transformation, and sustainable development, design of Evolutionary Learning Communities and Ecosystems of Syntony, and the development of approaches and tools for the co-creation of systems of syntony.
