Our Partners

Lily pondSyntony Quest collaborates closely with the following organizations which purposes are related and aligned. We believe that it is through collaboration and synergy that we can approach more effectively our vision of a sustainable and evolutionary future.

International Systems Institute (ISI)

Founded by our friend and mentor Bela H. Banathy, ISI "Agoras for the 21st century" has been a community of scholars and practitioners committed to engage in design conversations for a participatory process of creating our common future. ISI sponsors annual conversations events which are wonderful opportunities for thinking, learning and designing together about issues that affect the communities in which we work and live. ISI has been our intellectual home and for many years we have co-facilitated one of the research teams on Evolutionary Learning Community (ELC). Most recently, Bela has started the Agoras for the 21st Century project – in which the notion of ELC is integrated for creating participatory democratic spaces for people to make the decisions that shape their future.

The International Society for the Systems Sciences (ISSS)

ISSS is the premier systems thinking organization in the world. Its annual international conferences convene scholars interested in a wide variety of topics – from cosmology and medicine to psychology and education – and united by the common interest in interdisciplinarity and interconnections among diverse fields. Syntony Quest is the sponsor of one of its SIGs (Special Integration Groups) on Evolutionary Learning Community.

Alike.com

Alike is a high tech company interested in empowering new visions of learning. Our work with Alike is full of fun and creativity. They are developing technological tools to find, share, and save information relevant for learning, collaboration, and innovation. Syntony Quest is helping them to articulate the values of learning in a new era. Alike produces a wonderful e-zine which can be found at http://www.alike.com

Coalition for Self-Learning

The Coalition for Self-Learning is an international, self-organizing virtual community committed to create learning communities as more vibrant and appropriate educational systems for the 21st century. The first project of the Coalition was the publication of the book Creating Learning Communities: Models, resources and new ways of thinking about teaching and learning (link) in which Syntony Quest has two chapters. The online version of the book plus other resources can be found at http://www.creatinglearningcommunities.org

Psyche: A game for the evolution of consciousness

Psyche is a universal guide for human affairs in the form of a game combining the wisdom of
highly developed ancient civilizations with the discoveries of modern psychology (from the
foreword of the Psyche game manual). The game, developed by Mexican psychologist Armando
Perez, is a contemporary synthesis of ancient systems of self-discovery from Mexico, China,
Greece, India and Persia played as a board game. It is a wonderful tool for self-reflection and for
the conscious exploration and transformation of your conscious energy. You can learn more about the game at: www.psychegame.com.

We want to give our heartfelt thanks to all those individuals and organizations who have supported our work through their donations of time or money. Thank you for joining us in our Syntony Quest!
